Metallurgical Coal Edition – Has Global Met Coal Demand Plateaued?

The discussion examined the pressures reshaping metallurgical coal markets over the coming decade, from the impact of EU’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) on coal-based steelmaking, to China’s shift towards scrap-based Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) production, to whether and to what extent will growing steel demand across India and Southeast Asia replace China’s falling metallurgical coal demand.
